Judy Saul Stix makes reference to the naturalization papers on page 111 of the
Wise Child's Book. He was naturalized in 1888.58 He died on 22 Apr 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia.17,22
He was buried on 22 Apr 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia. According to the
1887 List of Residents of Janova, Harris was drafted in the National Guard as
a private during the 1882 draft. Judith Saul Stix estimates that he came to America
with his father and brother about that time. Perhaps the draft was the impetus
to leave Jonava. He lived with his father and brother on the Lower East Side
of New York, and stayed in New York when they moved to Washington,DC. In 1890,
Joseph Saul, a tailor was living with him in New York. This was probably his
cousin, J Saul who moved to Hartwell, Georgia in 1893. The 1900 Census shows
Harris and his wife Sarah living in New York with their three children and Austrian
born servants. They had moved to more modern apartments uptown at 129 East 82nd.
In 1904, they moved to Atlanta, following JJ and other family members. In 1919
he founded the first dress factory in the South, the Queen Quality Manufacturing
Company. Later it became H. Saul a & Co. and still later it was called Saul
Klenberg & Co. as Harris took in his son-in-law. He was a member of Ahavath
Achim Congregation, B'nai Brith, and the Progressive Club. (from Judith Saul

married in 1885. Sarah Reva Schlomberg2,23
was born in Feb 1866. She immigrated in 1875.23 She died in 1918. She appeared in the 1910
US census. Harris Saul and Sarah Reva Schlomberg had the following
